Job DescriptionLHH is seeking a Document Control / Technical Documentation Specialist for a contract opportunity with potential to convert supporting large-scale construction and engineering projects. This role is onsite in Lenoir, NC and is well-suited for someone who enjoys detailed, technical work and thrives in a highly organized project environment.

This position supports complex projects where accuracy, documentation quality, and collaboration with technical teams are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation throughout the construction and engineering lifecycle
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, revisions, and redline updates with project stakeholders
  • Review, organize, and track technical drawings and blueprints to ensure version accuracy and compliance
  • Act as a documentation point of contact between engineers, project managers, and field teams
  • Maintain document control systems, indexing standards, and version history
  • Assist with managing and organizing large volumes of plan sets and project files
  • Ensure timely distribution of updated documentation to appropriate parties

Qualifications

  • Background in document control, technical writing, or technical project documentation
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and technical documentation workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, terminology, and processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management platforms

Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
