Job Description
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Pilot Equipment Operator. This role involves setting up and operating various pilot equipment, including evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in research and development, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers.
- Operate hoses, pumps, heaters, and centrifuges throughout the testing processes.
- Record and document outputs from the equipment, including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data.
- Perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, crystal characterization, and microscopy.
- Document all laboratory results and collaborate with team members to develop products per customer application.
- Maintain a safe, clean working lab space and follow basic laboratory practices.
Essential Skills
- Experience in laboratory settings and testing processes.
- Basic understanding of laboratory processes and ability to learn equipment and testing procedures.
- Ability to perform titrations and other analytical testing.
- Knowledge of chemistry, biology, and related scientific disciplines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with reverse osmosis and crystallization.
- Background in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or inorganic chemistry.
Work Environment
The position is based in a laboratory environment, working alongside approximately 15 team members. The role requires working night shifts from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Initially, training will be conducted on the first shift for a few weeks or months before transitioning to the night shift. Flexibility to work up to 12 hours per day and assist on weekends is needed as the pilot process runs 24/7. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and potential for permanent hire based on performance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HARTLAND, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
