Job Summary

The Electronic Lab Technician I supports the research, development, and testing of electronic systems and components. This role assists engineers in building, testing, and troubleshooting prototypes, cable harnesses, and electric vehicle (EV) components to ensure proper functionality and performance. The technician plays a key role in maintaining lab operations and ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly, testing, and calibration of electronic and electrical prototypes and devices
  • Conduct experiments and testing activities under engineer guidance following established procedures
  • Troubleshoot electronic prototypes, cable harnesses, and EV-related components
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Record, analyze, and document test data, observations, and results accurately
  • Support preparation of technical reports, summaries, and presentations
  • Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and proper equipment storage
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory or technical environment, preferably in electronics
  • Basic understanding of electronic principles and components
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with soldering and circuit board assembly techniques

Education

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field required

Work Experience

  • 1–3 years of relevant laboratory or electronics experience preferred
