Regional Director of Transportation Job Description


The Regional Director of Transportation will oversee the daily operations within specified region(s) and broker partnerships. He/She will be responsible for:


Specific Duties:

1. Recruitment and management of drivers and support personnel, optimizing productivity by minimizing labor-to-revenue ratios.

2. Collaborating closely with other divisions of Employment Solutions to provide timely services that maximize Medicaid day training revenue.

3. Ensuring all vehicles are in optimal operational condition, properly maintained, and thoroughly clean both indoors and outdoors.

4. Designing the most efficient routing strategies that balance minimizing travel time with maximizing rider capacity.

5. Responding promptly to inquiries regarding transportation service availability, including prospective riders seeking transportation to services outside of those operated by Employment Solutions.

6. Sourcing and recommending procurement of additional vehicles as needed.

7. Coordinating route planning for designated regions and broker entities, Scheduling routes in accordance with Employment Solutions standards.

8. Troubleshooting route inefficiencies and addressing rider complaints effectively.

9. Managing drivers to ensure compliance with operational standards.

10. Conducting billing audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

11. Participating in and supporting departmental meetings.

12. Building and maintaining positive relationships with external agencies and case managers.

13. Acting as the liaison between broker(s) and the billing department.

14. Assisting in departmental decision-making collaboratively with the Director and Compliance Manager.

15. Performing other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent

- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance

- Social Security card

- Age 21 years or older

- No more than two moving violation convictions within the past three years

- No convictions for sexual offenses or violent crimes

- No convictions for leaving the scene of an accident

- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol screenings
