Manufacturing Manager—Allentown, PA

What You’ll Do
• Lead daily manufacturing operations across metal fabrication areas including MIG/TIG welding, cutting, punching, shearing, forming, bending, brake press, final assembly, and inspection.
• Build and execute production plans using the company ERP system to meet demand and shipping schedules.
• Drive output, efficiency, and quality to support company growth and customer expectations.
• Monitor capacity, staffing, and workflow—implementing adjustments to maximize throughput.
• Recommend capital equipment needs and support ROI and CapEx planning.
• Analyze production KPIs, labor utilization, and efficiency metrics; lead improvements.
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Oversee inventory control and coordination with Materials Management.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and streamline production.
• Provide coaching and leadership to supervisors and production teams.
Qualifications:
• 5–10 years of progressive manufacturing experience (sheet metal or metal fabrication preferred).
• Proven success leading production teams and implementing process improvements.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment including laser cutting, turret punching, shearing, bending/forming, brake press, MIG/TIG welding, and mechanical assembly.
• Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime or occasional weekends when needed.
• Experience with logistics/distribution is a plus.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and working in a non–temperature-controlled environment.
• Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses, protective clothing, etc.).
