Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial processes while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and audits, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Process and research invoice payments while managing accounts payable tasks.
• Assist with payroll by collecting hours and entering data for each payroll cycle.
• Collaborate with auditors during annual audits by providing required financial reports and documentation.
• Set up newly acquired communities by importing homeowner data, coordinating with vendors, and managing utility transitions.
• Oversee the transfer of information and documentation during property transitions to new management companies.
• Perform general ledger coding and maintain organized records through document scanning.
• Handle clerical and administrative duties such as filing, labeling, and archiving related to accounts payable.
• Utilize computer applications including Excel, Adobe, and Microsoft Office to complete tasks efficiently.• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong skills in billing and invoice processing.
• Accurate and efficient data entry capabilities.
• Familiarity with Excel, Adobe, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
