As a Senior Accountant at nClouds, youll own critical GL and Balance Sheet functions that shape the financial health of a rapidly scaling AWS Premier Partner. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding challenges.
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with 5+ years of experience to own and drive the accuracy of our General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounting. This role is critical to maintaining strong financial controls, supporting audits, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
What youll do:
- Own the General Ledger (GL) and Balance Sheet reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identifies, resolves, and communicates any discrepancies or significant variances
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Prepares and records all close and non-close entries by compiling and analyzing source data and account information by maintaining balance sheet schedules.
- Provides input to establish or revise policies and procedures to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of financial reports in accordance with GAAP
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Support external audits and tax filings by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Leverage NetSuite to optimize accounting workflows, reporting, and automation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial data.
- Partner with leadership to identify efficiencies and process improvements as the company scales.
What you bring:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (CPA a plus, but not required).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on GL and Balance Sheet.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite (strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing tech environment.
