A position is available for an experienced MRI technologist to provide advanced imaging services in a hospital setting. This contract role focuses on weekend night shifts, offering professionals the opportunity to utilize their expertise with advanced MRI equipment and support patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Shawnee, KS

This role is based at a respected teaching hospital near Kansas City, providing access to state-of-the-art imaging technology and a supportive clinical team. Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans utilizing Philips Achieva Siemens 1.5 T Sola equipment with proficiency, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety
  • Operate Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inteview PACS systems for accurate image documentation and retrieval
  • Manage scanning of patients with implanted devices, applying specialized protocols and precautions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal diagnostic services
  • Adhere to hospital policies including attending orientation and complying with nicotine-free regulations
  • Float between designated hospital sites as needed during shifts

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of MRI technologist experience in a hospital environment required; 2+ years preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with Philips Achieva MRI systems and scanning implanted devices
  • Minimum of 1 year travel MRI experience highly valued
  • ARRT (MR) certification and BLS required
  • Comfortable working 12-hour weekend night shifts (1830-0700; FridaySunday)
  • Ability to handle occasional floating between locations and adapt to schedule rotations
