Job DescriptionDescription:

The Patient Admissions Liaison’s responsibilities are to ensure that the patient and our internal departments (sales, pharmacy, nursing) have the necessary information needed to onboard pending patients on to our service in an accurate and timely manner. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, be highly organized, and must have excellent communication skills and must be able to flourish in a fast-paced environment. The ultimate expectation is to provide exceptional service to our potential patients and to our internal departmental partners. This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in the onboarding process for new referrals. The Patient Admissions Liaison will perform welcome and financial calls to pending patients. The Patient Admissions Liaison will assist in the patient in the enrollment process for any Copay Assistance Programs that may be available. The Patient Admissions Liaison will act as the point of contact for other departments, specifically the sales team, for updates on pending referrals.

Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Job Location: Hybrid out of New Providence, NJ

Requirements:


  • Intake experience required
  • Detailed Benefit Verification experience required
  • Prior Approval Submission experience required
  • Strong communication skills with both patients and providers required
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
  • In-Depth knowledge of commercial and government payors required
  • Home Infusion / Specialty Pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • CPR+ / CareTend experience preferred
  • Candidate must be highly organized and able to self-direct workload


Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Complete patient welcome call which explains who we are and what their physician has asked us to provide to them. This is the first point of contact with the potential patient.
  • Complete patient financial call after the benefit verification has been completed, explaining their coverage for services to be rendered, to include collection of patient responsibility, such as Deductibles and Copays, etc.
  • Aid in the enrollment of any Copay Assist Programs that may be available to the patient.
  • Acts of the point of contact for other internal departments that have a stake in the onboarding process.
  • Direct communication with potential patients or primary care givers.
  • Understanding of potential patient’s benefit / coverage information and the ability to relay and collect patient’s out of pocket expenses.
  • Prepare and maintain reports as it relates to these job functions.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively and maintains expected productivity.
  • Always displays a neat and clean professional appearance.
  • Maintains knowledge of, and compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times.
  • Willingness to perform as assigned including but not limited to:
  • Able to work longer than normal hours with little or notice, as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings, teleconferences, and patient care conferences, as needed.
  • Understand and follow Promptcare’s employee policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all, maneuver in small areas and frequently lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
