API is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. The right candidate will enjoy engaging with people, providing exceptional support and taking a proactive approach to solving customer challenges. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a passion for helping others are key to success in this role.


Position: Customer Service Representative - Full-time (Normal work schedule Mon-Fri, 12 to 9 p.m., onsite only)

Reports To: Account Services Manager


Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls with customers.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, shipping details, delays and related issues.
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Process orders received through multiple channels.
  • Manage paperwork related to warehouse accounts and programs.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and management teams to track or expedite missing or delayed shipments.
  • Prepare and maintain various reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with difficult situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Must have a good speaking voice and use proper grammar
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Access software
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic clerical skills
