C&A Painting Company, Located in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced full time Construction Accounting Manager to oversee all of our financial and accounting operations. We are a rapidly growing, financially stable, mid sized company looking to add a dynamic team member to work closely with our executive decision makers in bringing us to the next level.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of general ledger including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries

Oversee and prepare the Quickbook progress billing based upon specific contract terms and payment requisition percentages given by the respective project managers.

Oversee and assist with Payroll and Corporate Taxes, Certified and Government Payroll Forms

Reconcile contract value changes to approved changed orders and contract amendments.

Verify the accuracy of all job costs as well as the reconciliation of all subledgers to the general ledger (A/P, A/R, cash management, equipment, payroll)

Manage the internal financial reporting process to facilitate straightforward year end preparation by external CPA firm

Develop actionable insights from technical and financial data, working to minimize risk and identify growth Cash flow management including forecasting cash flow needs.

Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity to better safeguard assets.

Debt management and collection.

Supervise and build a strong accounting and office team to fit the needs of our growing company

Create projections with different scenarios on the growth opportunities as needed and develop accounting policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Manage and perform other duties consistent with the roll of accounting professional
Required Skills/Abilities:
-
Well-versed in financial practices and regulations specific to the construction industry is a must.

Experts in accounting software such as QuickBooks online preferred.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Outstanding organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Solid understanding of office and institutional management practices and procedures.

Proven ability to create, interpret, and implement budgets effectively.

Highly proficient in Google Office Suite and related software.

Strong analytical skills that drive results.
-
In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Education and Experience:

Education: BS in Accounting or Finance is desirable but will consider BA in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of construction related accounting experience
Physical Requirements:
-
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
-
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
