Professionally, you’ll gain invaluable exposure to cutting-edge surgical practices within a Magnet-designated facility, collaborating with a multidisciplinary leadership team and multidisciplinary colleagues, including charge nurses, resource nurses, and EPIC super-users. You’ll manage diverse patient populations, from trauma cases to transplants and hybrid procedures—broadening your clinical expertise and showcasing your adaptability on your resume.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Rotating weekends (every 4th: Saturday–Sunday)
  • Shifts: 0645–1515, 1445–1915, 2245–0715; options include 3x12h, 2x8h/2x12h, 5x8h
  • Hybrid/RT: Mon–Thu, 8/10h shifts
  • Six-week rotation; assigned based on need (no self-scheduling)
  • OR open 24/7; holiday coverage and on-call required (30-minute response, sleeping room available)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with BLS (additional certifications may apply by specialty)
  • 2–3 years acute care experience (trauma, operating room, or hybrid OR preferred)
  • EPIC EHR proficiency required
  • Able to scrub and circulate across varied procedures (trauma, vascular, neuro, transplant, robotics)
  • Critical care background and Level I/II trauma experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care in a 28-bed OR averaging 60–75 daily cases
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
  • Scrub and circulate for a spectrum of procedures, including complex hybrid and pediatric cases
  • Participate in orientation, continuous learning, and adapt to technology updates
