Telemetry Technician (Night Shift)
Long Island City, NY
Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract: 13 weeks

Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Telemetry Technicians to support the Emergency Department This role is responsible for continuous ECG monitoring, accurate rhythm interpretation, and rapid response to potentially life-threatening cardiac changes.
Candidates must have direct experience working as a Telemetry Technician or Monitor Tech in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous ECG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Identify and respond to life-threatening rhythm changes
- Initiate codes and record cardiac rhythms during code events
- Perform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement
- Troubleshoot monitoring and medical equipment issues
- Communicate clearly with charge nurses, physicians, and care teams
- Enter and verify orders in the computer system
- Retrieve and escalate laboratory results as needed
- Ensure documentation meets hospital and regulatory standards
- Safely manage and operate monitoring and medical equipment
Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Days: 3 days per week
- Hours: 34.5 hours/week (11.5 hours per shift)
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) – valid within 1 year
- Dysrhythmia Certification (Required)
- Proven experience as a Telemetry Technician / Monitor Tech
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
