Attendance Support Counselor


Lakeside Mobile Support is seeking dedicated and compassionate Attendance Support Counselors to assist elementary, middle, and high school students facing challenges with daily school attendance. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals committed to making a positive impact on student success and well-being. The role offers flexible fee-for-service arrangements in the Lower Moreland Township School District area of Montgomery County.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide attendance support to students between 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., depending on individual cases

- Develop and implement strategies to improve student attendance and engagement

- Collaborate with school staff, families, and community resources to address attendance barriers

- Maintain accurate documentation of student interactions and progress

- Adapt support approaches based on individual student needs and circumstances


Skills and Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field

- Holds or is pursuing a license as a mental health care professional, i.e. LSW, LCSW, LPC

- Prior experience working with school-aged children and adolescents

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

- Knowledge of local school district policies and community resources is a plus

- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student success

Requirements:

All Candidates must hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology, social work, or a related field and have or are pursuing a license as a mental health care professional, i.e. LSW, LCSW, LPC. Candidates will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be able to work independently with integrity, and have experience working with regular and special education students who struggle with various mental health and behavioral issues. Training and bi-weekly supervision are provided.

Mileage reimbursement is given for travel between students.

$40/hour

$24/hour for supervision/training
