Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an experienced (or a highly motivated new grad) FNP or ANP with an interest in health and fitness optimization and integrative and functional medicine. The ideal candidate will be able to practice independently but will also value collaboration with others. They will combine clinical skills and knowledge with kindness and compassion, to support and motivate clients to believe in and work toward better versions of themselves.
The Opportunity
This is an independent contractor position requiring a minimum of one day per week seeing patients in person at our southeast Denver location, with the remainder of visits provided via telehealth. Telehealth visits may be provided from home if you wish, and you are free to set your own schedule and how often you are in-office vs telehealth only.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough patient diagnostic evaluations including history-taking and physical examination.
· Order and coordinate diagnostic testing.
· Interpret functional laboratory testing results to guide treatment decisions.
· Develop personalized plans of care incorporating clients’ individual needs, values, and preferences.
· Prescribe vitamins, supplements, and medications when appropriate.
· Administer SQ and IM injections, start IVs, and administer IV treatments.
· Work in collaboration with other clinic providers, ensuring comprehensive care.
· Ensure accurate coding of ICD-10 diagnoses and CPT codes for all office visits and procedures (billing guidance is provided).
· Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in medical records.
· Maintain clean, well-stocked, and organized treatment room in accordance with company standards and policies.
· Keep inventory of supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
· Maintain good personal hygiene and grooming
· Wear clean, comfortable, and professional attire that allows for movement. A lab coat and/or scrubs may be worn if desired.
· Wash and sanitize hands between clients, after meals and/or use of the restroom, and as needed throughout the day.
· Refrain from working, work from home via telehealth, or wear a mask in the event of illness.
Qualifications & Skills:
· MSN or DNP, National Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (AGNP or ANP), a valid Colorado APN license, and Provisional or Full Prescriptive Authority
· Candidates must present proof of education, certification, and licensure during the interview process and must maintain them in good standing on an ongoing basis
· Must acquire and maintain their own professional liability insurance with coverage of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and at least $3,000,000 total.
· 2+ years of experience as a nurse practitioner is preferred, but qualified new graduates and candidates with less than 2 years may be considered if they demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the potential to learn quickly.
· Mentoring arrangements can be provided for candidates with provisional prescriptive authority, with a goal of obtaining full prescriptive authority as soon as possible.
· Commitment to acquiring and maintaining continuing education in functional or integrative medicine is required, and expertise and experience in these areas is preferred.
· Ability to start IVs and administer IV therapy is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
· Ability to work and make clinical decisions independently while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team is essential.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build productive relationships with clients and other staff is required.
· A positive, high energy, enthusiastic personality and a growth-oriented mindset are highly valued and preferred.
Additional Requirements
· Candidate must be able to sit and stand and complete tasks requiring mobility and manual dexterity for up to 8 hours in a day. Length of time required to complete tasks may vary.
· Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch, grasp with moderate strength with both hands, lift up to 25 pounds, stand, sit, walk, complete repetitive motions, bend at the waist, hips, knees, and ankles, and climb stairs. Hearing ability, visual acuity, clear speech, and effective verbal and written communication required.
· Must have sufficient manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.
· Must be committed to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
· Must be able to provide clients with guidance, counseling, and inspiration and motivation to optimize their health, well-being, and quality of life.
Schedule / Hours:
· Part Time or Full Time, you set your schedule, 3 to 5 days per week, 4-8 hours per day, with a minimum of 24 and maximum of 40 hours open for scheduling per week.
· In-person at our Denver location at least one day per week, and via Telehealth for the rest of schedule
· New patient appointments 60-90 minutes and follow ups 30-45 minutes in length may be offered as appropriate and preferred.
· Availability for at least one evening (ending at 7 pm) or one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shift per week is required.
· Availability to work on at least 2 of the following days is required: Veterans Day, Black Friday, the day after Christmas, New Years Day, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day
Compensation
· Compensation is based on a percentage of collections and how many hours you have open per week for scheduling visits. Range is from 40% for 24 hours per week to 70% for 40 hours per week.
· It can take a few months to build your panel, but current providers in our practice are making $150,000-$200,000 for 32-40 hours.
· Most providers keep their current positions and work with us 1-2 days per week while they build their panel, and when they have a full panel, go down to per diem at their other job or go full time with us.
