We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Lab Technician. This role is ideal for someone with a background in chemistry—through coursework or hands-on experience—who is eager to grow their skills in a laboratory and manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in chemical mixing, sample testing, and ensuring product quality while working closely with both lab and production teams.
This position offers hands-on laboratory experience, a unique rotating schedule with built-in days off, and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and mix chemicals for titration testing using a fume hood
- Perform quality testing on samples pulled from CNC machines
- Accurately document test results and manage data using ERP systems
- Support daily lab operations and assist with schedule coverage when other lab technicians are unavailable
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and laboratory procedures
Required Qualifications
- Education or experience in chemistry (college coursework, hands-on lab experience, or related work experience)
- Basic understanding of quality assurance and quality control practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with chemical mixing and laboratory testing
- Familiarity with ERP or laboratory data management systems
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production-related environment
Work Environment & Schedule
- Split time between a manufacturing floor and a laboratory setting
- Manufacturing floor: hot, loud, and industrial environment where samples are collected
- Laboratory: clean, climate-controlled, and organized workspace
- Schedule follows a 2-2-3 rotation from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM, offering frequent days off

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
