Position Overview
The Civil Project Engineer PE will be responsible for managing and overseeing civil engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring that designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaboration with architects, contractors, and municipal agencies to deliver high-quality, sustainable land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for land development projects.
- Prepare and review civil engineering designs and plans, focusing on land development and site design.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental engineers, and surveyors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations during project execution.
- Utilize Civil 3D software for designing and modeling grading, drainage, and other civil engineering components.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses for water resources and storm water management projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of practice.
- 5+ years of experience in land development and civil engineering design.
- Familiarity with civil engineering software, especially Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of local zoning laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
