Our organization is in search of a Director of Hospital Medicine for Phelps Hospital, located in Sleepy Hollow, to oversee the expansion of our hospitalist program. This role involves collaborating with the Chair of Medicine, hospital management, and leaders within the Medicine Service Line to enhance team dynamics, hospital operations, quality assurance, and strategic initiatives.

A focus on fostering continuous improvement within the Division of Hospital Medicine will be essential for success. Ideal candidates will hold board certification in either Internal or Family Medicine, maintain active clinical involvement, possess leadership training or experience, and exhibit a commitment to excellence in collaborative efforts. Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring and teaching are also necessary.

Phelps Hospital Overview

Phelps Hospital is a 238-bed acute care facility situated in the heart of Westchester County, specifically in Sleepy Hollow. Since its establishment in 1956, the hospital has been dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to the community. The range of services offered includes emergency care, acute inpatient services, and a variety of outpatient services tailored to meet the needs of residents in Westchester County and neighboring areas, including Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess Counties in New York, and Fairfield County in Connecticut.
