As an ICU RN in the Shock Trauma PACU, you will deliver high-acuity peri-anesthesia and trauma care, support trauma resuscitation, and work with interdisciplinary teams in a 24/7 trauma environment. - Position: ICU Registered Nurse / Critical Care RN / Travel Nurse – Shock Trauma PACU\n
- Contract Length: 12-week travel contract\n
- Start Date: April 27, 2026\n
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,960 – $2,060 (travel nursing pay)\n
- Shifts: Rotating 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:00 & 19:30–07:30); straight nights considered\n
- Hours per Week: 36\n
- Unit: Shock Trauma PACU (12 beds) – adult & geriatric population\n
- Weekend/Holiday/On-Call: Required (3 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; holidays as scheduled; 1–2 call shifts per 6 weeks)\n
- Floating: Required within specialty and to sister facilities as needed\n
\n\nQualifications / Job Requirements\n

- Minimum 1 year recent ICU or PACU experience (strong ICU experience preferred)\n
- Active MD or Compact RN license\n
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only)\n
- NIHSS certification preferred\n
- Travel nursing experience required (previous travel nurse assignments preferred)\n
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record (Epic EMR)\n
- Comfortable with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a high-acuity setting\n
- Ability to float to main PACU, pre-op, ICU, and sister facilities as needed\n
- References: 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)\n
- Must reside 50+ miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)\n
\n\nResponsibilities / Clinical Duties\n

- Provide vigilant pre- and post-operative/peri-anesthesia care for trauma, surgical, and procedural patients\n
- Titrate vasopressors, manage airways, care for ventilated patients, and administer blood products and fluid resuscitation\n
- Support Trauma Resuscitation Unit and manage patient overflow with clinical flexibility\n
- Perform and monitor special procedures: central/arterial line management, chest tube care, and procedural sedation\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and phlebotomy\n
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication in Epic (Epic charting system)\n
- Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled\n
