We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and service to patients by explaining procedures, maintaining a safe and professional work environment, and ensuring quality control in imaging. This position also involves performing medical assistant duties, including vital signs, health history, and electronic medical records (EMR) management.
Responsibilities
- Explain procedures and processes to patients, ensuring they are informed and comfortable.
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and professional work environment.
- Capture and review images for proper identification and quality control.
- Document and maintain records related to x-ray imaging.
- Perform medical assistant duties such as taking vital signs, recording health history, and managing EMR.
- Provide excellent customer service and patient care, handling upset patients with professionalism.
- Assist in front office operations when needed.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
- Understanding of medical, radiation safety, imaging, and Epic systems.
- Experience in medical assisting and patient care.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours a day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Advanced MD and Epic EMR systems.
- Front and back office experience.
- Strong customer service skills, especially in handling challenging situations.
- Previous experience in an urgent care setting is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and requires resilience, as both patients and staff can be challenging. You will work 36-40 hours per week, with shifts that may vary. The schedule includes working Monday to Friday and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with weekend shifts from 8 AM to 4 PM. If you work a weekend, you will receive a weekday off to balance your schedule. The role is based in an urgent care setting, requiring excellent customer service skills. Initial training involves Epic system training and front desk duties before transitioning to clinical responsibilities. The locations for this role are Neptune City, NJ, and Eatontown, NJ.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neptune City, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $44.00/hr.
