Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Surgical Technician specializing in orthopedic, general, robotic, bariatric, and urology procedures. This contract position is based in Kansas City, KS, offering a dynamic and supportive environment to advance your clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for orthopedic, general, robotic, bariatric, and urology surgeries
- Assist surgical teams during procedures with precision and adherence to sterile techniques
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments and materials
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to maintain patient safety and optimize surgical outcomes
- Participate in post-operative room turnover to maintain efficiency and readiness
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proven experience as a Surgical Technician with specialization in orthopedic and general surgery preferred
- Strong knowledge of robotic and bariatric surgical procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with urology surgical techniques is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current certification and compliance with state and hospital regulations
Schedule:
- Full-time, 40 hours weekly
- Shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekend requirements include one weekend night shift per week
- Call schedule includes coverage every 4th to 5th weekend
- No floating assignments required
