Overview

We’re looking for a reliable Construction Pipe Crew Laborer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team working on site work and utility projects across New Jersey. The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on experience on relevant projects and a strong work ethic. We prioritize safety and professionalism on every job site.

Responsibilities

• Assist foreman/management in planning and coordinating daily field crew construction activities.
• Track and report daily progress, material usage, and safety concerns/incidents
• Communicate with the Foreman and Equipment Operator to complete tasks efficiently and inform supervisors of any potential delays or project risks.
• Coordinate timely receipt of materials with vendors, foreman/management and office personnel to ensure project stays on schedule
• Lay out, install and connect underground piping systems (water, sewer, storm).
• Perform system connections, including wet taps and tie-ins, to existing infrastructure.
• Use pipe-laying tools and equipment to accurately execute pipeline layouts and connections according to approved construction drawings.
• Supervise and/or operate equipment to excavate, trench and backfill to the specified depth and grade in accordance with approved drawings and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow all OSHA safety procedures, shoring standards, and utility markout protocols.
• Maintain a safe and secure job site at all times.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, and excavators.
• Familiarity with utility locating methods and pipeline installation processes.
• Able to work well with a team and communicate effectively with jobsite supervisor and crew.
• Able to perform physically demanding work, including extended standing and lifting materials.
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification is a plus.

Salary details

• $20 to $35/hour depending on experience
• Overtime eligible
• Full-time employment
