We are looking to hire a Part-time Office Manager (contract) for our office in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. We'd love someone to come in for 4-5 hours in the morning (more if required by the outlined responsibilities below) Monday to Friday to perform the following duties:


Responsibilities:

  • Ready the office space each day and keep the place neat (organizing, tidying, and low-level cleaning on a regular basis such as wiping surfaces, loading and unloading the dishwasher, taking out trash/recycling/and compost, replacing light bulbs, assessing the space for ongoing or future issues that need attention). Stay on top of the city trash pick-up schedule and requirements.
  • Monitor the sidewalk area directly outside the building and ensure it stays clear and clean of excessive waste or natural detritus. Coordinate maintenance efforts of the front sidewalk and street area with the city of San Francisco if needed.
  • Track, order, and replenish/restock office and kitchen supplies as needed, including snacks and beverages, toilet paper, paper towels, bathroom products, and special event food items/decorations.
  • Ensure maintenance and working order of building locks and lock sensors.
  • Coordinate order of team lunch meals to the office every Friday, receive and lay out these orders.
  • Take consistent and ongoing responsibility for the operational maintenance of the building and facilities, including coordinating with the landlord and contractors to ensure the working order of all bathrooms, kitchen, and office appliances and spaces, as well as scheduling and overseeing contractors and legally mandated facility assessments of SF office spaces.
  • Maintain positive relationships with contractors and hire additional contractors as needed for building maintenance and office cleaning/upkeep.
  • Handling mail and packages (receiving and distributing, pick-ups, occasional drop offs), open all official correspondences to the company and CEO. Track and report all bills, legal notices, tax refunds, and payments made via mail.
  • Be responsible for and cash all checks that arrive by mail to the business account, file checks and other official hard copy records in case of future use/need.
  • Organize trash pickups, junk pickups, and any other pickups of materials (including semi-hazardous waste) for legally acceptable disposal as mandated by the city of San Francisco.
  • Organize regular team events and outings, as well as additional events that include the team and their family members for times of unique company achievements, and during the holiday season.
  • Coordinating regularly with the executives (sometimes across different timezones), and in-office as well as remote employees, to ensure proper execution of Office Manager role tasks and fulfillment of expectations in terms of the office environment and facility management.
  • Administrative assistance to the management team as needed.
  • Occasional need to liaison with additional city departments for building and systems upkeep, and companies such as airlines to facilitate Remedy Robotics business activities.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, bend down and lift arms in order to stock supplies
