Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team. Initially, you will operate an Engine Lathe, which involves boring out the center of sprockets. Once fully trained, you will advance to operating other manual machines, akin to manual CNCs, punch press, brake press, and more. You will begin with horizontal lathes, a broach, and a drill press for set screws. This role requires a willingness to cross-train and develop expertise in various machines.
Responsibilities
- Operate an Engine Lathe and other manual machines after training.
- Perform tasks on horizontal lathes, broach, and drill press for set screws.
- Engage in high production and volume operations.
- Measure with micrometers daily.
- Lift materials up to 50lbs.
- Apply mathematical skills consistently.
Essential Skills
- Experience in machine operation and working with manual lathes.
- Proficiency in reading micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to interpret blueprints.
- Manual machine shop experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Micrometer experience is essential.

Work Environment
You will work in a small shop equipped with racking, two truck docks, and a small machine shop featuring all manual machines. The company has a close-knit team of 15 employees, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
