We are looking for a Founding Partner for our Insurance Agency in Barre, Vermont, and this is a chance to help build something meaningful from the ground up. You will help create the agencys foundation, influence how clients are served, and play a direct role in its growth. Responsibilities

Help launch and grow a new insurance agency with a hands-on role in shaping its direction.

Develop trusted relationships with clients, listening carefully and recommending coverage that fits their needs.

Generate new business through outreach, referrals, networking, and consistent follow-up.

Guide clients through quotes, policy options, renewals, and ongoing account support.

Work closely on agency goals, sales strategy, and service standards that support long-term growth.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen customer experience, and build a strong local presence.

Stay current on insurance products, carrier guidelines, and market changes that affect clients.

Represent The Atlantic District with professionalism, warmth, and a genuine commitment to helping people protect what matters most.


Requirements

Proven experience in insurance sales, agency leadership, or business development.

Active and appropriate insurance license for the Vermont market, or ability to obtain one quickly.

Strong understanding of personal and/or commercial insurance products.

Ability to build client relationships through clear, confident, and trustworthy communication.

Comfort with owning sales goals, agency growth, and day-to-day decision-making.

Experience with quoting platforms, CRM systems, and standard agency tools.

Knowledge of local market dynamics in Barre, Vermont or surrounding areas.

Preferred background in launching, growing, or helping shape an insurance agency.

Willingness to take initiative, solve problems, and help define how the agency operates.
