RN Unit-Based Educator – Emergency Department (Full-Time, 10-Hour Shifts)

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and confidence of nursing staff.

Lead onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the department.

Assess and support ongoing competency development, professional growth, and career advancement opportunities for nursing staff.

Translate hospital objectives, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives into practical, department-level training.

Maintain education records to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Foster a positive, collaborative learning environment that aligns with organizational values and enhances patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s in Nursing or a related field required (candidates without a Master’s must complete the degree within two years of hire).

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience, plus at least two (2) years in an educator role within an acute care setting.

Licensure & Certifications:

Active California RN License (Required).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required).

Certification in Staff Development or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) (Preferred).

Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in implementing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable.

Strong computer proficiency and ability to use digital education tools effectively.
