Primary Purpose and Function
Responsible for providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) individual and group therapy treatment to patients ages 13-65 in partial hospitalization, residential and intensive outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- Requires aMasters in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related therapy field
- Requires a Washington State provisional license (LICSWA, LMHCA, LMFTA,) or license-eligible if out-of-state;
- Minimum one year (1) experience providing individual, group, and/or family therapy from a behavioral orientation
- Crisis management experience
- Demonstratedproficiencyin the use of Microsoft Office and the ability to use various software programs
- Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check (Federal and state)
- Experience and literacy with Electronic Medical Records systems medical practice software
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends & holidays as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Washington State Independent Licensure (PhD, PsyD, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) preferred
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and/or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) training and experience
- Experience delivering therapy to eating disorder and mood disorder patients
- Experience or familiarity with KipuEMR applications
- Ability to transport patients in company vehicle;possessa valid WA state driver’s license; successfully pass THIRA’s Driver Assessment

- Provide individual and group therapy from a DBT framework to adults and adolescentsdiagnosed with mood, anxiety and other emotion regulation disorders and/or eating disorders
- Deliver crisis intervention services inclusive of suicide risk assessment and management, createsafety plans, de-escalatedysregulated patients, and mediateconflicts between patients
- Facilitate family involvement in treatmentincluding but not limited to contact, coordination of care, and therapysessions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teamregardingtreatment planning,progressassessment, and discharge planning
- Create, update,and implement a behavioral treatment plan for each individual therapy patient
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete clinical documentationin a timely mannerincluding but not limited to: Treatment Plan, Discharge Plans,UtilizationReview Summaries, individual and group therapy notes, risk assessments and safety planning, and other documentation as assigned
- Work collaboratively with team members and Utilization Review department to prepare comprehensive treatment summaries;assess treatment progress and barriers to discharge
- Join and contribute to the THIRA DBT Consultation Team
- Support Mental Health Technicians and Medical Team to ensure a safe and properly supervised milieu space for patients

Working Environment
Work is performed primarily indoors, with both artificial and natural lighting. Equipment used includes standard office equipment, i.e. computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, printer, and scanner. Physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, bending over, repetitive use of hands, and lifting up to 25lbs. Position requires close contact with all THIRA Health staff and mental health patients. Hours and days can vary within a Saturday through Friday week.
