Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner

Paid Time Off: 15 days per year (accrual up to 25 days)


Position Overview


Plastic Surgery Partners of Fresno, Inc. is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative and high-performing plastic and reconstructive surgery team. This role serves patients at Community Regional Medical Center and Clovis Community Medical Center.

Community Regional Medical Center is the only Level I Trauma Center in California’s Central Valley and a teaching hospital affiliated with UCSF Fresno surgical residency programs. This academic affiliation creates a dynamic learning environment with active collaboration among attending physicians, residents, trainees, and interdisciplinary care teams.


This position requires engagement across the full spectrum of care, including:

  • Inpatient management
  • Outpatient clinic care
  • Operating Room participation and first assist responsibilities

Active participation in all three settings is mandatory.


Clinical Scope

The selected candidate will receive training in comprehensive plastic and reconstructive surgical care. The practice focuses on:

  • Breast cancer reconstruction
  • Complex reconstruction following trauma or burn injury
  • General reconstructive procedures
  • Cosmetic patient management


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Participating in hospital rounds and inpatient consults
  • First assisting in the OR
  • Providing outpatient follow-up and continuity of care
  • Collaborating closely with surgeons, residents, trainees, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Contributing to education within an academic medical environment

No call obligations.


Qualifications

  • Current or eligibility to obtain California PA or NP license
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program (for PA applicants)
  • National certification (or in process)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery

We are also open to considering experienced Registered Nurses who are currently enrolled in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, provided they demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and alignment with our team culture.


Compensation & Benefits

  • $150,000 annual salary (includes benefits stipend)
  • 15 days PTO annually (accrual up to 25 days)
