Title - Manufactured Home Loan Officer

Location - Hybrid (Office location - Foothill Ranch, CA 92610)

FLSA - Non-exempt

Pay Rate - $26 - 30 an hour

Summary: Reporting to the Manufactured Home Loan Manager, this position is responsible for evaluating and making decisions on manufactured home loan applications and cultivating existing/prospective member relationships. The Manufactured Home Loan Officer is responsible for competently underwriting quality loans within the established Eagle Community Credit Union (ECCU) guidelines and policies as well as State and Federal regulations. Demonstrates and provides excellent service to members, team members, and partners through professional, efficient, accurate, and knowledgeable service delivery. Must also be capable of resolving lending issues. Works closely with the Manufactured Home Loan Manager and staff to ensure contract packages are complete and consistent with published policies. May provide members with financial advice and counseling on a limited basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Loan Origination: Assist members with the application process for manufactured home loans, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Member Consultation: Provide personalized financial advice and solutions to members seeking manufactured home loans.
  • Credit Analysis: Evaluate members’ creditworthiness by analyzing credit reports, income statements, and other financial documents.
  • Loan Processing: Coordinate with Loan Processors and other team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of loan applications.
  • Compliance: Ensure all loan applications comply with federal, state, and credit union regulations and policies.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with members, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting manufactured home loans.
  • Member Benefits: Knowledgeable about Credit Union products and services and can recommend appropriate additional products to members.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stays informed on credit union products, services, procedures, and new developments.
  • Organizes time and resources to meet deadlines and accomplish all work assignments.
  • Assists Manufactured Home Loan Manager on additional administrative tasks.
  • Contributes to credit union growth and profitability goals.
  • Provide excellent member services.
  • Supports credit union goals and objectives and actively participates in training sessions and special promotions.

Education/Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. Associate//Bachelor's degree preferred

3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan origination, preferably with a focus on manufactured home loans in parks on leased land.

4. Experience with the use of Loan Origination system (s) preferred.

Language Ability:

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedural manuals, disclosure forms, State, Federal, and credit union industry rules, regulations, and correspondence.
  2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  3. 3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  4. 4. Bilingual: English and/or a second language is a plus. Spanish or Vietnamese preferred

Math Ability:

  1. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  2. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and/or interpret different types of graphs and charts.
  3. Functional knowledge of annual percentage rates and loan amortizations.

Reasoning Ability:

  1. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  2. Ability to resolve problems with limited supervision and provide solutions involving several variables in routine situations.
  3. Must be able to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking when making decisions about loan applications.

Computer Skills:

  1. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  2. Knowledge of Symitar and ECCU's Loan Origination Systems (CUDL/TCI) are preferred.

Certificates and Licenses: Mortgage Loan Originator registration with NMLS is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Salary Range - $26 - 30 an hour
