Salary Range: $41.58 – $61.87 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary
A healthcare facility in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager RN – MICU to lead clinical and operational activities within the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
The Nurse Manager will oversee nursing staff, ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care, and promote a collaborative environment focused on evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities

Provide leadership and supervision to MICU nursing staff and support personnel

Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based nursing practices

Oversee patient care coordination and monitor patient progress throughout shifts

Manage staff scheduling, staffing levels, and workflow within the MICU unit

Respond to patient emergencies and ensure appropriate clinical interventions

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, care goals, and discharge instructions

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Monitor clinical documentation, patient safety practices, and care outcomes
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Texas
-
Minimum 5 years of recent nursing experience
-
At least 1 year of supervisory experience (Charge Nurse or Assistant Nurse Manager)
Required Certifications
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) through the American Heart Association
-
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
-
National specialty certification or leadership/administration certification (preferred within 6 months of hire)
