Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Cafe Manager with daily operations and act as key support during all shifts
- Prepare and serve beverages, snacks, and light meals
- Perform food preparation, basic cooking, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Operate POS system for transactions, cash handling, and daily reporting
- Help manage inventory: receiving orders, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and tracking usage to minimize waste
- Provide warm, exceptional customer service to residents and guests
- Support opening and closing procedures to keep the cafe inviting and organized
- Must have flexible availability, including weekends and varying shifts
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and HOA policies
- Step in to help guide day-to-day tasks and maintain smooth service flow
Schedule: Consistent hours, weekends required
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a cafe, coffee shop, restaurant, or similar fast-paced food service environment (1+ years preferred)
- Proven skills in food preparation, basic cooking, and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling
- Strong inventory tracking and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work well independently or as part of a small team
- Ability to support leadership and help keep operations on track
- Food Handler's certification (or willingness to obtain)
