    Job Details
  • Clinical Resource Unit (Float pool) providing specialized medical and nursing care to various inpatient units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Mental Health Unit, and Acute Rehab.
  • Fast-paced, evolving environment caring for patients with diagnoses such as coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, dysrhythmia, strokes, cancer, cellulitis, post-surgical care, and chest pain.
  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, post-operative care, IV venipuncture, blood administration, documentation using EMR, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Floats to multiple units and manages care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
  • Acts as a resource to staff and coordinates multidisciplinary care.
  • Maintains patient safety, handles conflict management, and provides constructive feedback to peers.
    Job Requirements
  • Ability to float to multiple units and provide care to diverse patient populations.
  • Manage care for acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
  • Develop, implement, and modify patient care plans.
  • Medication administration and evaluation of medication effects.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and manage post-operative care.
  • IV venipuncture and blood administration skills.
  • Accurate documentation using EMR.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and assist in professional development of peers.
  • Handle conflict management and maintain professional communication.
  • Critical thinking to assess patient status and take appropriate action.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Prioritize patient safety including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and ambulation safety.
  • Complete patient bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and maintain updated patient communication boards.
  • Delegate appropriately and follow up on delegated tasks.
  • Must have ICU experience.
    Schedule Information
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • 12 hours per day.
  • 36 hours per week.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Ortho, Cardiovascular Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Mental Health Unit, and Acute Rehab.
  • Provides care for complex surgical population and acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.
  • Handles post-operative care and patient education.
  • Coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must have ICU experience.
