Schedule:
- Night shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM
- Rotate every other weekend
- Every other holiday as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Tennessee RN License
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience; 2 years preferred in medical-surgical nursing
- BLS certification required
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR, including Merge and PowerChart
- Ability to float within the unit as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to 18-24 patients on the unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols
- Accurately document patient care using the Cerner charting system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to established safety, infection control, and quality standards
This contract role offers a highly structured yet flexible nursing environment with no block scheduling and a maximum rotation time off of one week. Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility and are expected to submit applications with full documentation as specified.
