- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend\n
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week\n
- Patient Ratio: 1:3\n
- Charting System: EPIC\n
- Scrub Color: Navy\n
- Parking: Free onsite parking\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required at submission)\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience\n
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS\n
- Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC\n
- EPIC charting experience preferred\n
- Ability to float between Belleville and East campuses and inpatient units\n
- No local candidates within a 75-mile radius\n
- Must be available to work every other weekend\n
- Experience caring for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics\n
\n\nER Nurse Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages\n
- Perform advanced ER procedures: central line insertion, arterial lines, chest tubes, post-cardiac arrest hypothermia, intubations, and trauma care\n
- Respond to emergency codes: code stroke, code STEMI, code blue, and other urgent situations\n
- Care for a diverse patient population, including trauma, sexual assault, mental health, and pediatric patients\n
- Utilize advanced equipment: rapid infusers, hypothermia devices, glidescopes, bedside cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and infant warmers\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and float to other units as needed\n
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC\n
- Participate in ongoing education and orientation (24 hours provided)\n
