Our client is searching for an Accounting Clerk for their headquarters in North Houston (near George Bush Intercontinental Airport). This role supports the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions by performing daily accounting and administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. The salary range for this position is $22-$25 per hour.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Enter all incoming bills into QuickBooks accurately and promptly.
- Follow established monetary limit guidelines and route bills for appropriate approvals.
- Print and mail checks as needed.
- Monitor and process all recurring payments to ensure timely disbursement.
- Retrieve and review monthly vendor statements.
- Communicate with vendors via phone or email regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
- Research and resolve discrepancies or billing issues in a timely manner.
Accounts Receivable
- Assist the Accounts Receivable team with collections and payment follow-up.
- Provide support with tasks such as scanning, emailing, and organizing invoices.
Requirements:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
