Controller | Norton Shores, MI
Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Norton Shores seeking Controllers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Prepare detailed financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for management.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to the leadership team for business decision-making.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- CPA certification preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with an ERP implementation or major upgrade
- CPA or CMA certification
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with multi-plant operations or international business
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
