Position Title: MRI Technologist – Acute Care
Location: Elmhurst, NY 11373
Shift: Overnight | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Schedule: 5 Days/Week (35 Hours) | Alternating Weekends & Holidays Required

Compensation

  • Local: $50.00 – $60.00/hour | Up to $2,170/week

  • Travel: $55.00 – $70.00/hour (including stipends) | Up to $2,450/week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a dynamic acute care hospital team in Elmhurst, NY. This role is ideal for a skilled technologist who excels in a fast-paced hospital environment and is confident operating GE MRI equipment during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Imaging Excellence

  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations in an acute care setting.

  • Ensure diagnostic accuracy while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Equipment Operation

  • Operate and maintain GE MRI scanners with advanced technical proficiency.

Patient Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct thorough MRI safety screenings and enforce MRI Zone safety protocols.

  • Adhere to all hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality guidelines.

Documentation & Systems

  • Accurately document procedures and patient information using EPIC EMR.

Workflow Coordination

  • Manage overnight imaging workflow.

  • Collaborate with Emergency Department and inpatient units to prioritize urgent cases.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of MRI experience in an acute care/hospital setting.

  • Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Licensure: Active New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License.

  • Certification: Current MRI certification through ARRT or ARMRIT.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with GE MRI equipment and EPIC EMR systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
