Employment Opportunity: Special Education Early Childhood Teacher

Qualifications:
- BS Degree with appropriate certification from the Tennessee Department of Education.
- Endorsement code - 459
Primary Professional Responsibilities:
1. Plans instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
2. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
3. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of IEP and curriculum goals,
4. Coordinates with TEIS to provide a smooth transition for students and families from TEIS to Unicoi County Schools,
5. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
6. Collaborates with all families, PreK teachers, kindergarten teachers, and school administrators to create smooth transition services from PreK to kindergarten.
7. Follows district and state Child Find procedures to evaluate students suspected of having a learning disability.
8. Create and implement instructionally appropriate IEPs for all students who meet TN eligibility.
9. Attendance is required.
Salary: Based on degree and experience
