About the Role
SchoolHouse Staffing is seeking multiple Paraeducators to provide direct student support across elementary and middle school classrooms for the 20252026 school year.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience supporting students of varying needsfrom those requiring academic assistance to those who need behavioral, sensory, or social-emotional support.
Available Assignments Include:
- Elementary Classrooms (Grades K5):
- 1:1 support for students with ADHD, anxiety, or sensory processing needs
- Implement self-regulation tools, sensory breaks, and positive behavior strategies
- Middle School Classrooms (Grades 68):
- Assist students with academic support, organization, and staying engaged in learning
- Reinforce social skills and encourage positive peer interactions
- Special Education Classrooms (varied levels):
- Support students with mild to moderate disabilities in inclusive or resource settings
- Work with students with more intensive needs, providing movement breaks, structured routines, and individualized behavior supports.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct support to students in small groups and 1:1 settings
- Encourage independence, positive behavior, and academic engagement
- Communicate progress and observations to teachers and staff
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a paraeducator, instructional aide, or direct student support role preferred
- Familiarity with special education strategies and behavior supports
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families
