Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes to produce complex, high‑precision aerospace components.
- Interpret and follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor and adjust machine operations, including speeds, feeds, tooling offsets, and program parameters to ensure optimal performance.
- Review, edit, and validate CNC programs as needed by carefully tracking machine position, tool paths, and part features.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and instrumentation to meet part requirements.
- Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment to verify critical dimensions.
- Maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve machining challenges.
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of CNC Lathe machining experience, preferably in an aerospace or high‑precision environment.
- Strong understanding of controls, tooling, instrumentation, and multi‑axis CNC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
- Experience setting up precision parts using detailed setup sheets and work instructions.
- Familiarity with G‑code, editing CNC programs, and verifying tool paths.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent part quality.
- Excellent attention to detail, judgment, and problem‑solving skills.
- Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace materials such as titanium, Inconel, and aluminum alloys.
- Background in AS9100‑regulated manufacturing environments.
Ability to run multiple machines or multitask during cycle times.
