Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with a current CA license, BLS, AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
- Responsible for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Care for a patient population with varying birth volumes from under 100 to over 300 births
- Hospital is a Magnet designated, teaching institution and a Level II Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:00)
- Work two weekends every six weeks; night shift weekends may include Fridays
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required within the scope
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Provide comprehensive care throughout the labor and delivery process, including postpartum and newborn care
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs must not be camouflage or have character patterns
- Free parking provided
- Holiday time off is limited to one holiday per assignment; staff will most likely work holidays

- Current CA RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), AWHONN Advanced, NRP Advanced (must include all 11 components), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
- Vaginal exam and newborn care experience required
- Experience with a variety of birth caseloads
- Local candidates accepted
- Pending licenses are not accepted
