Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time School Psychologist position is available within a public school district in the Research Triangle area, serving multiple elementary and middle school sites. This contract role starts as soon as possible and lasts through June 10, 2026, offering 37 hours per week in a traditional school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations for children ranging from preschool through middle school.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and support the development of educational plans.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to assess and address student needs.
  • Potential involvement with the Preschool Assessment Team for one day per week.
  • Utilize knowledge of the districts MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) when applicable.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

  • Active Psychologist licensure with the relevant Department of Education credential (DOE required, not DOH).
  • Experience working with school-aged children; both experienced candidates and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge or experience with the MTSS system is a plus but not required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly desired.
  • Must be able to complete a CBC background check and fingerprints within seven days of submission.

  • Upcoming maternity leave support at Parkwood Elementary and The Whitted School starting in March.

Salary guidelines vary with experience, ranging from $59 to $71 per hour.
