Specialty: MS/Tele
Shift: Days – 3x12s (7:30 AM – 7:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week assignment. The nurse will care for adult patients with a variety of medical and telemetry conditions in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required. Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory.

Patient Population

Common diagnoses include:

• COPD

• Pneumonia

• Non-specific abdominal pain

• Cellulitis

• Chest pain (rule out)

Required Certifications

• BLS

• ACLS

Required Skills & Competencies

• MS/Telemetry nursing

• Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias

• Use of Rapid Response / Code Teams

• Blood product administration

• Central line care/management

• Peripheral IV & PICC line management

• IV initiation & maintenance

• CVA care

• Seizure disorder management

• Substance withdrawal care

• BiPAP / CPAP management

• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)

• Oxygen administration (all modalities)

• Isolation precautions & PPE
