We're seeking experienced Certified Medical Assistants to join our team at our clinic! Our Doctor specializes in Sleep Disorders & Pulmonary Medicine. We are currently looking for a part-time and possible full-time position.
Start Date: ASAP
Licenses/Certificates: Certified Medical Assistants- CMA and/or Registered Nurse- RN (NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERRED)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- English and/or Spanish speaking
- Proficiency with EMR system Nextgen Enterprise experience PM/EHR *preferred-not needed*
- Highly organized with strong time management skills, being able to perform simultaneous tasks, prioritize them effectively and follow through quickly.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Proficiency with computers and typing skills.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

FRONT OFFICE/ CHECK-IN:
- Check in patients
- Check Insurance Eligibility
- Collect copays
- Answer and return phone messages in a timely manner.
- Calling and scheduling New consults and follow up visits.
- Check in Telehealth patients
- Confirm next day appointments
CHECK-OUT:
- Check-out patient ( fax, coordinate any Orders Doctor is ordering)
- Fax master plan to the PCP, and Referring Physician
- Make/schedule follow up appointments.
- Check-out telehealth patients ( same as if they were in-person, just via telephone)
AUTHORIZATIONS:
- Submit weekly authorizations for patients needed to be seen within the same week of bi-week.
BACK OFFICE/MEDICAL ASSISTANT:
- Bring patients back, take vitals ( blood pressure, pulse ox,) ask for updated medications, connect Sleep apnea machine, for oxygen patients.
- New Patients, make sure all medical hx is entered as in New Patient paperwork, re-check all forms, make sure they are filled out correctly as well as all signatures were obtained, enter pharmacy.
- Rx prior AUTHORIZATIONS
- Submit all dme orders to their appropriate vendor (with all the correct documentation)
- Submit Authorization for DME orders.
- Perform 6 min walks
- Perform training for Inhalers
- Perform Alpha swabs
- Chart checks ( UPLOAD INTO PTS CHART)
- Prep-Telehealth patients ( enter information in log and place in Dr.'s desk)
ADDITIONAL DUTIES THAT NEED TO BE PERFORMED:
Scanning, Filling, Order any supplies and Medical Records request.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
