Job Summary:
- Provide direct therapy services to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for children ages birth to 18 with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, sensory processing, down syndrome, developmental delay, and others.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.
- Document patient progress and maintain
accurate and timely records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in family and caregiver education to support patient progress and generalization of skills.
- Engage in regular supervisory meetings and feedback sessions to enhance clinical skills and professional development.
- Contribute to team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in occupational therapy.
Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state licensure.
- Strong clinical skills in evaluation and treatment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
Preferred qualities:
- 1+ years' experience working in pediatrics.
- Medicaid credentialed.
- Experience working with sensory integration difficulties.
- Experience working with individuals with ASD.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification (training provided if necessary).
Compensation & Benefits:
- The hourly range for this position is $40 to $55, depending on experience level andtime spent providing direct patient care.
