About the Role:

This role is a unique opportunity for someone who’s excited to own, improve, and reimagine how we hire and grow talent through a Skills Based Approach at our organization. While the day-to-day focus will include coordinating and supporting the Food Bank’s Skills Based Hiring Program, this role is much more than a recruiter — it’s about building strong partnerships, improving processes, and helping shape our overall candidate and employee experience.

You’ll report to the Recruiting Manager. It’s ideal for someone who’s thoughtful about processes and passionate about people.

What You’ll Do:

Recruiting Execution & Partnership:?

  • Execute full-cycle recruiting across departments, ensuring a smooth and equitable process.?

  • Partner with hiring managers to guide them through best practices, set expectations, and provide thoughtful pushback when needed.?

  • Write and update job descriptions in collaboration with teams.?

  • Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to support compensation discussions with candidates.

  • Coordinating with the marketing department to leverage social media platforms to promote job openings and enhance employer brand visibility.

Process Ownership & Improvement:?

  • Maintain and continuously improve recruiting workflows, tools, and systems.?

  • Own and evolve recruiting-related SOPs and documentation.?

  • Identify pain points and lead process improvement initiatives.?

  • Build and monitor recruiting metrics to evaluate performance and make data-driven decisions.?

Talent Programs Coordination and Process Improvement:?

  • Lead and continuously improve key talent programs such as recruiting processes, internship program, and development assignments.

  • Support development of new talent programs (e.g. structured interviews, onboarding enhancements, internship program, job fairs).?

  • Stay on top of talent trends and bring innovative ideas to improve how we attract, assess, and grow talent.?

  • Contribute to other organization wide talent programs and projects.

  • Strong Technical skills - the ability to use PowerPoint and Excel to organize and present information concisely; leverage social media platforms to connect and engage

  • Comfortable working with processes — you like organizing things, finding what’s unclear, and making improvements?

  • Strong writer with the ability to create clear, professional content (emails, templates, guides, etc.)?

  • Detail-oriented and organized — you keep track of moving pieces and follow through reliably?

  • Able to maintain sensitive information or conversations (like pay, role clarity, or expectations) with fairness and care?

  • Takes initiative — sees what needs to be done and jumps in without waiting to be asked?

  • Believes in transparency and consistency when working with people and systems?
