Job Summary
AAP Staff is hiring for our client in the Chicago area for a Compounder – Working Lead. This is a hands-on role working in the compounding department while supporting and coordinating with a small team. The position works closely with the Chemist, Plant Manager, and General Manager to ensure accurate production, inventory control, and safe operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on compounding according to formulas, batch records, and SOPs
- Work alongside and support two compounders in daily production
- Serve as a liaison between the compounding team, chemist, and plant leadership
- Conduct inventory counts and maintain material accuracy
- Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods
- Follow all safety, quality, and GMP standards
Requirements
- Experience in compounding, blending, or manufacturing
- Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Ability to lead by example in a hands-on working lead role
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on the production floor
Preferred
- Experience in chemical or regulated manufacturing environments
- Prior lead or team support experience
