Charity for Change delivers a proprietary afterschool and summer curriculum that blends character education, mental well-being, and academic growth. Our mission is to empower students with pro-social behaviors—teaching generosity, gratitude, and resilience to set them on a trajectory for success and help end bullying and division.
The Role We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Grant Writer to manage our complete grant lifecycle. You will identify funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and meticulously track outcomes to sustain and grow our impact.
Key Responsibilities * Proposal Development: Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Individual Giving: Craft tailored proposals and case statements that align our program's impact with the philanthropic goals of individual donors and family foundations.
- Grant Management & Compliance: Maintain a detailed calendar for deadlines and reporting. Track all grant activities and ensure strict compliance using our CRM (DonorPerfect).
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the finance and program teams to gather the essential data, metrics, and financial information required for accurate reporting.
- Research & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison with funders and continuously research funding trends, specifically within the Southwest Florida landscape.
Qualifications * Experience: Minimum of 4 years in grant writing and fundraising, with a proven track record of securing diverse grants (government grant experience is a strong plus).
- Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and strategic communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the nonprofit sector (specifically education and social services) and the Southwest Florida philanthropic landscape.
- Tech: Familiarity with CRM systems (DonorPerfect) and grant management software.
- Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications preferred. Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to lift up to 25 lbs.
