A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 public school setting in Oakland, CA, serving a preschool caseload. This contract position runs from the start of the school year through the end, offering a structured environment to provide specialized pediatric speech and language services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California SLP license required
- Experience working as a school-based SLP, particularly with pediatric and preschool populations
- Familiarity with SLP CCC standards is preferred
- Skilled in providing speech and language interventions and evaluations in educational settings
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: End of School Year (EOSY)
- Weekly Hours: 37.5, Monday through Friday (full-time)
- Age Group: Preschool students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services aligned with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, reports, and progress monitoring
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
