Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An elementary school in Urbana, IL is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher with case management responsibilities for a 5th grade caseload. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and offers a 37.5-hour workweek.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering specialized instruction tailored to 5th grade students with special education needs.
Managing and coordinating individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet compliance and student progress goals.
Collaborating with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student development and success.
Maintaining thorough documentation and progress reports in line with district and federal guidelines.
Serving as the main point of contact for the 5th grade special education caseload to ensure comprehensive case management.

Desired qualifications and experience:

Certification in Special Education
Proven experience managing case loads for elementary-aged students, preferably around 5th grade.
Strong organizational and communication skills essential for effective collaboration with parents and school staff.
Knowledge of special education laws, compliance standards, and best practices.
